What do you do when you reach the end of your race?
Whether it is the race up the ladder, a race for enlightenment, or finishing a milestone event. There are many great achievers who find themselves on the other side of the finish line and wonder, what now?
In many ways I have been blessed because I have the great fortune to be working with those who have excelled in their endeavours and find themselves lost after their achievements.
It is a whole different journey on the other side of the finish line. In fact, it can feel quite foreign, disconcerting and adrift in the land of unknowing. To find ourselves and our paths on the other side of the finish line takes strategies and actions that are completely different than what we used before we got there. While difficult, this is often one of the greatest times in a person’s life to make a quantum leap of growth.
In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity.
Albert Einstein
Tools that enable an understanding on the other side often include (but are definitely not limited to this):
- Reflection
- Creativity practices
- Curiosity
- Engaging in completely new realms
- Mindset of an apprentice
One of the richest times in our lives is going beyond where we even thought possible and we delve into the world of starting to know what we didn’t know we didn’t know and finding light in the darkness.
Warmest wishes on your new journey.
